Saath links families to a variety of services and opportunities.

Shobhanaben, a housewife, and Ramjibhai, a carpenter, learned of SAATH through their children, who enrolled in SAATH’s Balghar pre-school program in 2001. Repetitive trips to the school ignited a flame within Shobhanaben to try something new. She became a teacher at the Balghar, and within three years, initiated a new Balghar center in her own community. Seeking new opportunities, she enrolled in SAATH’s Urmila Home Manager programme. Today, Shobhanaben is SAATH’s office manager. Over the past ten years, her family has utilized SAATH’s microfinance, infrastructure, employment and education programs. With SAATH’s support, Shobhanaben’s family is a happy, confident and self-sufficient urban family.
