Hi,
As you know, Andhra Pradesh had been affected by the floods recently. At this stage, people are left with nothing except the clothes they are wearing. Nothing we give lessens their pain, but it will be a small solace.
Over 13 lakh(1.3million) people were affected in the recent A.P floods. Just in Kurnool district, 520000 people have lost their homes, 34 mandals have been under water. Crop was lost in 2lakh hectacres. 27 people died. It affected 3 more districts in a similar or bigger scale.
Svechha Foundation is trying to help the victims in Kurnool district in as many villages as possible. Most of them still cannot return to their villages. They are left with nothing now. We are planning to distribute 2-3 cooking utensils, plates, glasses, blankets and towels to as many villages as we can in based on the funds. Our volunteers will go personally to distribute.
The list of funds collected, their usage, the list of villages and photos of distribution will be published in our website after the implementation.
