Habitat for Humanity is a global organization that builds homes for marginalized communities.

During the past 25 years, Habitat in India has built and repaired more than 29,000 homes impacting the lives of 145,000 people. Work in India is coordinated from Habitat Resource Centers in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Chennai, with ongoing projects in 17 states of India.

Habitat’s beneficiaries work to build, rehabilitate and repair their own homes. Additional assistance to the beneficiaries for construction, is provided by both local and international volunteers.
