Hi,

Recently a fierce cyclone hit the Sunderbans in West Bengal, washing away about 500 kms of embankment, uprooting over a million houses and severely affecting over 9 million people.

The reports one reads in the media are just a trickle of the reality on the ground. After going into some of the affected areas, GOONJ has already sent three trucks load of material, through a fast growing partner groups network in the area.

We will work in Sunderbans for the next few months and are confident that we will get the same support as we did for the Bihar floods campaign.

Given the earlier abysmal state of Sunderbans and our recent experience in the ongoing Bihar Floods campaign, we seek your support in taking on this challenging task.
