We all know that half of India doesn't need a disaster to be helped. The Bihar floods have only magnified the misery of these people. GOONJ is focussing on gap areas in relief work. The real challenge will be keeping the flow of material going when the initial response ebbs. We seek your support in sustaining our work in the long term.

With the approaching winters, GOONJ will focus on 3000 families in Bihar (approx. 20,000 people). A winter kit will have:
-2 blankets (good-quality new blankets)
-2 durries (traditional durry, size 6X3 ft, made of old cloth with an aim to generate employment in rural India apart from effective utilisation & recycling of large quantities of waste cloth)
-2 woolens per family member (woolens will be sourced from secondhand cloth market, to make the kit cost effective with massive impact).
General clothing will also be given as part of GOONJ's 'VASTRADAAN' initiative.
