The India Giving Challenge presents you with an opportunity to donate to Childline India Foundation, a charity supported by HSBC.

CHILDLINE Mumbai is India’s first toll-free emergency helpline for children in need of aid and protection. Since its inception in 1996, CHILDLINE has responded to over 11 million calls from children who live and work in Mumbai alone.

HSBC will run this campaign from 10 September- 10 October 2009. Donate to Childline India Foundation and experience the joy of giving!

Name of NGO: CHILDLINE India Foundation

Mission/Vision: CHILDLINE 1098 is a national, 24x7, free, emergency phone and outreach service for children in need of care and protection. Currently present in 172 cities across 26 states and UTs in India, the vision is to have a child-friendly nation that guarantees the rights and protection of all children.

This is a Tier 2 listed NGO and meets legal criteria for charitable organisations as provided by the organization but not independently verified by GiveIndia. It does not meet the more stringent Credibility Alliance norms followed by Tier 1 listed NGOs. GiveIndia does not provide any assurance on use of funds raised through iGive pages, nor provides feedback reports for the same.
