More than 2500,000 people are still trapped in the devastating floods in Bihar. A large number of people have been moved to rehabilitation camps. Day by day the pressure on the rehabilitation camps is increasing.
The non-food supplies such as tarpaulins, tent materials, medicines for first aid as well as common deceases, safe drinking water, equipments as well as medicines to combat water born deceases, batteries, torch lights, candles, match boxes, fuel for cooking, subsistence support to the volunteers, milk as well as necessary items for newborns, clothes etc are lacking.
GENVP has set up its Flood Relief Coordination Centre at its Patna Office and have established assistance and relief centres at Purnea and Araria districts.
