Hi,
I am currently working as a Teach for India fellow at Shree Geeta Vidyalaya, a low-income private school in Govandi, Mumbai.
I teach a class of 58 grade 4 students, all living very close to the school. These students have great potential for achieving their dreams despite the obstacles that they face in their everyday lives: the community they live in is one of the least developed urban communities in the country, their school lacks many basic amenities that most students take for granted, and they face an uphill struggle towards achieving quality education.
You can help them increase their chances of getting the educational opportunities they deserve. Donations made for the students will be used to buy books for them (my goal is for every student to own one "real" book by the end of the year), to organise a field trip for the entire class, and for regular class supplies.
