Success Story

Mr. Perumal is a physically handicapped person and his disability percentage is 60% Mr. Perumal is a physically handicapped person and his disability percentage is 60%. He living in Sithalapakkam village, Cheyyar Taluk, Thiruvannamalai District. Though he used artificial leg, he was able to move only within a village and this caused him to be dependant on others for meeting out his personal needs and to be unemployed

When we came to know about Mr. Perumal sad condition, we engaged our field staff to assess his situation and found he deserved for a tri cycle genuinely. So we assisted him to get a new tricycle with Give India s financial assistance. This cycle was purchased from Madurai and donated.

After getting the tricycle, Mr. Perumal practised locally and then he got a job in a private grocery shop in Cheyyar town. He is also involved in quarry work and all these works give him a monthly income of Rs.3,000. Comparing the situation in the past, he is now reasonably earning and leading a decent life due to the tricycle access.
