Success Story

The disadvantaged and marginalized people living in residential, welfare institutions feel themselves left out from the mainstream society.

The disadvantaged and marginalized people living in residential, welfare institutions feel themselves left out from the mainstream society. They feel forgotten and neglected by the outside world. It is generally a lonely life for the residents, without anything to look forward to.

We started visiting the institutions at regular intervals, specially, ahead of the major local festivals like Bihu, Holi, Diwali etc. We always carried with us useful and recreational items, together with some snacks to share with the residents. We also arrange celebrations of birthdays and special occasions of the outside public in these institutions.
This program bridged the gap between the residents and the outside public. The gifts were appreciated by the residents as well as the Managements of the institutions. The residents started looking forward to our visits and appeared to be more positive and cheerful. They felt these were truly gifts of kindness.
