Priti Kumari, 16 years, resident of Purbi Indira Nagar, Patna is a pity girl of ill fate Priti Kumari, 16 years, resident of Purbi Indira Nagar, Patna is a pity girl of ill fate. Her father named Prasad was a notorious drinker who often used to beat badly his wife. One day, he abandoned his wife and daughter in a desert. After being left helpless by her husband, Priti and her mother adopted the work of maid servant which remained the only source of income. As priti was completely illiterate, she was not able to get a job.

Fortunately ADD team could learn about her fate and advised her mother to get Priti enrolled in Tailoring and Embroidery Course under three months vocational training programme in ADD Vocational Centre. The topics covered under embroidery are the clothes printing, painting, carvings etc.

Now Priti successfully completed her course in and opened a tailoring shop. She has borrowed a machine from one of her relatives but she has planned to buy one of her own in coming days. She is now very happy with mother. She is a beginner and so she manages to earn about 1500 per month on an average.
