Success Story

Raju suffers from cerebral palsy. Raju suffers from cerebral palsy. When he came to Sangopita, one of his hands was bent and he walked with a limp. He was in need of physiotherapy. He also needed speech therapy as he could not speak clearly. He tried to brush his teeth and bathe on his own but failed in numerous attempts.

Raju was admitted into the residential home run by Sangopita. Our physiotherapist and speech therapist started treating him. A scheduled routine of waking up, attending to personal hygiene, meals, activities in the class room, music and games was planned with adequate rest.

After six months of stay at SANGOPITA, remarkable changes were seen in Raju. He started standing on his own and could walk for short distances at a time. He also started uttering limited words to express his needs. His general health improved and a confident smile started appearing on his face.
