Success Story

It all started with a fever, Bhimrao was celebrating his birthday. It all started with a fever, Bhimrao was celebrating his birthday. Little did he knew that this fever will eventually make him paraplegic. Life became extremely miserable and complicated for Bhimrao. Family problems and poverty added to the misery. Bhimrao even thought of suicide.

At this stage, Bhimrao met a social worker from The Association of People with Disability. He was inducted to our short-term residential facility for Spinal Cord injured people. He was trained in self –management. Our IT lab provided opportunity to Bhimrao to improve his software skills. With his BE graduation, our Career Guidance & Placement unit helped Bhimrao to get a job in a software company in Bangalore. We provide a balanced meal thrice a day which includes milk, fruits, eggs and vegetables.

Bhimrao is now working for IBM as a Software Engineer. He has formed a group of people with disability called Serving Group. He supports disabled people and has adopted a child. Now his judgment about society has changed. Now Bhimrao is leading a contended life with dignity.
