Gauri, Sunil, Minakshi and Shraddha were from extremely poor families residing in Indira Vasahat, Aundh, Pune. Gauri, Sunil, Minakshi and Shraddha were from extremely poor families residing in Indira Vasahat, Aundh, Pune. Their parents were illiterate and they had no educational orientation.

Jagruti Seva Sanstha started a Balwadi in Indira Vasahat with the support and enthusiasm of the Balwadi teachers. Dozens of children like Gauri, Sunil, Minakshi and Shraddha joined the classes.

These children can now read, write, and play like children born in better situations. They can recite poems and draw pictures like most other children their age.
