Success Story

Meera Kayal, wife of Arup Kayal of village Khordanahala of Diamond Harbour Block II aged about 27 years conceived 2nd time at the end of 2009. Meera Kayal, wife of Arup Kayal of village Khordanahala of Diamond Harbour Block II aged about 27 years conceived 2nd time at the end of 2009. Already she has one male child of 8 yrs. Her husband Arup is just a daily labour and in the remote area like village Khordanahala no scope of regular job. In an average the total income of the family is around Rs.1200 per month so to maintain the family of 3 members she has forced to starve. In this condition 2nd time pregnancy made her worried about the future of the child in womb.

When Meera visited the clinic of Bani Mandir, the social workers of Bani Mandir informed the situation to the General Secretary, and asked for help to Meera. Bani Mandir from its General fund immediately helped Meera with food as nutritional care and asked her to come at the clinic for regular check up. Hence forth she has been getting food component as nutritional care.

Meera became happy as her prenatal care is going on. Immunization has been done properly. She is now expecting institutional delivery at the Sub-Divisional Hospital Diamond Harbour, South 24 Parganas. Now she is happy and inspired.
