Success Story

Poverty drove 12-year-old Lutur from Bihar to Delhi. Poverty drove 12-year-old Lutur from Bihar to Delhi. He was employed as a domestic help and was physically tortured by his employer. His elder brother contacted the child helpline of Salaam Baalak Trust for help.

Lutur was taken to a hospital for treatment. He was referred to the Juvenile Welfare Board and took legal advice. He received a compensation of Rs 45,000. This has been invested in Lutur?s name in a Government bond.

Today Lutur is restored back with his family. He will get Rs.90,000 when he turns 18.
