Success Story

Suresh Manjhi is a very poor man of a dalit community Suresh Manjhi is a very poor man of a dalit community residing in the Arwal district of Bihar. He suffered from Polio at young age. His family consist six members with Suresh is the head of the family. He is a shopkeeper by profession and gets very low income and maintains his family. So, Suresh is not able to afford a tricycle. As he is disabled he faced many problems in attending to his business and other routine work.

The fields Staff of SGVS identified Suresh as person living with disability and provided him with a tricycle in April 2009.

Now, Suresh is able to attend to his shop one km away from his house and is very happy with the tricycle provided by SGVS. He has gained confidence and became self-reliant.
