Success Story

Here is a SSC batch [M01/SSC/105H] of SETU CARAVAN Centre at Mehsana. Here is a SSC batch [M01/SSC/105H] of SETU CARAVAN Centre at Mehsana. Some of these students had nearly given up studying, having failed in some subjects while some others were lacking confidence due to poor quality of their school teaching and non-availability of tuition. Yet others had limited access to the books and guides while some others needed space and privacy to study. Several of these are first generation learners. All in all, few students of this batch were destined to make it through, leave alone make it big.

SETU CARAVAN set up by SPRAT at Mehsana taught this batch of 17 students throughout the term of 2009. Besides formal instructions by an experienced teacher, these students also had access to the Centre s library, reading room, educational video theatre, GK Quiz, Science Corner etc. Some of them also regularly used its Home Work Hour, to study in privacy and comfort.

As a result these students overcame their fright and faced the exam confidently. 16 of them passed, some scoring very good grades. Most of them are now pursuing higher studies, while a couple of them have taken to livelihood related activities. Some also attended the Centre s skill development courses such as English Speaking.
