Success Story

Master Bharath is 6 years old and the only son of Thulasi who comes from a poor family. Master Bharath is 6 years old and the only son of Thulasi who comes from a poor family. As Bharath was complaining about nausea and was vomiting, he was referred to Vikram Hospital in Mysore for operation. As the family could not afford the cost of operation, they came to know from some doctors, that operation in the brain for cancer will be conducted free of cost in Satya Sai Hospital at Bangalore. He was operated free of cost & was diagnosed to have Pinealoblastoma. He had to take radiation and this was not available at the above hospital. At Bangalore they advised Radiation 24 fractions to be given. On enquiry at Bangalore they informed that the cost will be Rs.1.30 lakhs.

Some one in their village informed that they visit Bharath Charitable Cancer Hospital & Institute, Mysore. BCCHI referred him to Bharath Hospital & Institute of Oncology. He was asked to take 24 fraction of radiation which would cost Rs.54000. With great difficulty, the family was able to raise Rs. 20000 for radiation. The hospital gave a concession of Rs. 28000 and requested Rs.6000 to be given for radiation treatment of the above beneficiary by BCCHI.

Mr Bharath has completed radiation and the child is progressing. However, he may also have to under go chemo theraphy, where BCCHI is looking for donors to help this boy.
