Manthan could not perform routine chores like brushing his teeth and putting on a shirt, among other things. These activities require both gross and fine motor coordination, which the child lacked. Since these are simple tasks that are expected to be done independently, they were taken up as the initial goals. His mother is house wife and father is on daily wages.

One special educator along with the physiotherapist made a task analysis for the above-mentioned activities. The task was broken into several smaller goals like holding the brush, moving it up and down etc. A careful plan was implemented in the classroom using the special techniques, aids and appliances. The skill of brushing teeth was dealt with step by step.
