Success Story

Early marriage, unsafe sex, low health and sanitation, STD/RTI, risk in HIV/AIDS, undesired pregnancy and unsafe abortion, anemia and no hygienic existed. Early marriage, unsafe sex, low health and sanitation, STD/RTI, risk in HIV/AIDS, undesired pregnancy and unsafe abortion, anemia and no hygienic existed among the adolescent girls due to the parents working in salt pans at night. The girls are not protected and immoral habits exist. Most girls dropout at 5th or 6th Grade.

ROSI organized adolescents groups with 755 girls through the un-organised labour union (TRUCS), SHGs and Youth Sangam. They are being trained on social, health and moral activities. ROSI gave Health and Sanitation training to 30 girls of 6 groups on cleaning hands, personnel hygienic using sanitary napkins, anemia prevention, safe sex, RT/STD. HIV/AIDS, etc.

Prema (15 years) daughter of Raman, from Agasthiyampalli village maintains personnel hygienic, is free of anemia, uses sanitary napkins, just like her other friends. Their families are also following our personnel hygiene tips and advise on late marriage.
