Chetan is 15 years old Visually Impaired child, studying in 10th standard at Jetpur. He was unable to cope with his studies because of lack of proper guidance and special aids and appliances, though his parents had admitted him to school

After joining the IEDC scheme, Chetan was given help by a special teacher and a Braille kit for his personal use. He was taught Braille reading-writing and mobility and orientation training. Now he uses Braille text book and a Daisy player for his preparation for the S.S.C. examination. He can listen to talking books like in Hindi, English, Sanskrit etc on this player. He can read easily and quickly, access the material not only chapter wise, section wise or subsection wise, but also page wise. He can reach the required heading/page/section almost effortlessly within no time

The organization has provided Chetan recorded material and Daisy player for his study and he is continuously given guidance and counselling for his better performance at the S.S.C. public examination. We are quite optimistic about his progress and achievement in the forth coming S.S.C. examination
