Sangeetha aged 28 years from a middle class family. Sangeetha aged 28 years from a middle class family. She has studied upto Grade 8 as a normal girl till the age of 19 when she was married..After marriage, she stayed with her husband only for one week.She ran away from her in-laws and went to her parents. Then she was showing signs of mental illness. She had ECT (Electro Compulsive Therapy – shock treamenta) five times and was given high dosage of medication. Her symptoms are irrelevant sppech, self talk, sleeplessness, habit of over eating,walking aimlessly around, with paranoid personality disorder.

She was admitted in June 2007. With nutritious food, psychiatric treatment, continuous medication, counseling and other therapies she is improving .

Her physical and mental health has improved and she started involving in group activities and other therapies. She is quite sensible, able to understand and remember. Her communication skills have also improved. She is taking good care of her personal hygiene.
