Danavayapeta is situated in the coastal mandal of Bapatla of Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh. Danavayapeta is situated in the coastal area of Andhra Pradesh. Fishing is the known livelihood to this community and education is their least priority. Children are forced into fishing activity at a very early age. Parents take the boys to the sea for fishing and girls are engaged in fish carrying. Malnutrition is rampant in younger children

We have established a Child Care Center in the village and we are providing nutrition food to the children along with pre school education. The objective of the center is to improve the nutrition values in the children and also prepare the children for school readiness

Children aged 2 to 5 years are coming to the center. Mothers are happy since they do not have to worry about their children, as they are in the center. School enrolment has also improved in the village, because children are showing interest and happily joining the local school
