Success Story

Rajan is 45 years old and living with HIV Rajan is 45 years old and living with HIV. He has a son Mohan from his first wife who is also living with HIV. After the death of his first wife he remarried Shantha. She has 2 children. One day Rajan had a stroke and became bedridden. Shantha becomes the bread winner and feeds the family with the meager amount she earns. Taking care of father and son and managing the family became a burden

CSR mobilized resources from the community and supported Shantha. But tiresome work deteriorated Shanthas health. Taking care of two people living with HIV and also earning for a living became hard to manage. If Mohan is put up in a hostel Shantha can get time to give better care. Mohan was referred to a boarding school at Dindigul which is 300 km away and is the nearest place

Whenever Rajan feels curious to see Mohan he is not able to do so and even Mohan faced the same. Father and Son havent met each other for almost one year. Mohan says "if there is a hostel nearby I can stay there and see my ailing father. But I am unlucky". CSR is taking care of 5 children who are longing for love and affection, but separated and we want to expand for 25 children.
