Sachin Ram Shinde, a fatherless boy, was a good student in the ninth grade while in the Dongri remand home. On being discharged from the remand home, he returned home to his slum. Traumatized and stigmatized by his stint in the remand home, he was scarred and scared to pursue education in the local municipal school, fearing the scorn and taunts of his peers and society.
