At Christel House Learning Center, children come from disadvantaged section of society At Christel House Learning Center, children come from disadvantaged section of society, it is essential to provide them with the same level of exposure as a privileged child so that he/ she can integrate into mainstream society. Hence field trips are an integral part of their curriculum. A visit to the National Park, Botanical Garden, Post Office, Bank or to the Planetarium may be a trivial issue for us, but for a Christel House child, it is a revelation

Bannerghatta National Park is a home for one of the richest natural, zoological reserves in Bangalore. It has got a reserve of Indian tigers and other mammals. They have grand safaris, museum, reptile park and a small theatre. It comprises of a huge Butterfly Park too. 2. Bannerghatta National Park. The distance from Christel House India to the Park is 37 Kms

The students visited the Bannerghatta National Park and were thrilled to see the carnivorous animals. They understood the food habits and behaviour of various animals. They saw different variety of birds and played a little while in the park. They were also taken on the safari where they were able to see lot of wild animals. We have encouraged the children to use the imagination and capture the experience on paper with paint and to write short stories after every trip to help them understand and relate to the concepts they learn in the classrooms. The field trips they go for gives them a new meaning and to understand related topics that is taught in classroom better. These field trips have opened up a whole new world for the children, a world which was hitherto unknown and unexplored
