Success Story

There are around 35-40 villages within 4-5 km radius of Vijay Mandir having no access to proper medical facilities. There are around 35-40 villages within 4-5 km radius of Vijay Mandir having no access to proper medical facilities. A Govt. PHC situated nearby is almost defunct. As such the rural masses are at the mercy of unregistered medical practitioners and quacks. Patients have to travel 10-15 km to Alwar to access proper medical aid. Women in particular get no specialized medical attention.

SAPNA runs a part time clinic (8 to 11 am) having a MD doctor and an experienced compounder. A basic diagnostic Lab and X-ray facility has also been provided. A DOT centre to treat tuberculosis patients was added recently. The service of a gynecologist is provided thrice a month. Medicines are dispensed free.

The PHCC has established itself as a full fledged medical clinic with a monthly OPD of around 850-900. Patients need not travel to Alwar anymore to access basic medical aid. Women get specialized medical attention. Such a day care facility provides basic health care to the rural poor with the aim that all components of health care are developed in a synergistically complementary manner.
