Families of deafblind children often face rejection and isolation from their communities as disability is still considered a social taboo. As a result of lack of proper information and awareness regarding deafblindness and available opportunities, family members of deafblind children are left without any support and facilities to cater to the special needs of their children. Most of these deafblind children have additional physical disabilities like Cerebral Palsy and these children are from villages, which lack basic therapeutic facilities.
