Ganapati Bhat is a 65 year old farmer of Mynalli Village of Mundgod Taluk of North Kanara District. Ganapati Bhat a 65 year old farmer of Mynalli Village of Mundgod Taluk of North Kanara District has 4 acres of paddy land. He was practicing chemical fertilization and pest control. Slowly his production slowed down and requirement of the synthetics increased. He lost interest in agriculture and started looking for some other business along with agriculture.

Manuvikasa contacted Ganapati Bhat and created awareness about organic farming especially recycling of agriculture waste. He also was provided training on wormy composting.

Now Ganapati Bhat has constructed & started to prepare wormy compost pit. Now he is not depending on chemical fertilizers and using wormy compost and getting competitive production. He also selling wormy compost and earning money out of it. He is selling 5 quintal of compost and 2 kg of worms and earning 1400 per month. His agriculture production is raised by 30%.
