Success Story

Kathayeeammal of Ambattur Kathayeeammal of Ambattur, was selling groundnuts on the roadside. She was suffering due to poor vision and the problem intensified with each passing day. Her search for a cure brought her to Sankara Nethralaya where she learnt she had developed cataract in both eyes.

The financial condition of Kathayeeammal was such that she could hardly even pay for one surgery. Sankara Nethralaya came to her rescue and the cataract surgery was performed free of cost.

Now, Kathayeeammal is back at work of selling groundnuts in her village. Her improved eyesight, after the surgery, has helped her in a big way and now she is able to look after her family of five with ease.
