Dhanalakshmi aged D/o Ganeshan of Kadukkakadu Village in Pudukkottai District is an orphan. Dhanalakshmi aged D/o Ganeshan of Kadukkakadu Village in Pudukkottai District is an orphan. Due to the poor background and girl child is unwanted in the society she had become a quarry labour. She had been unable to do continue her education because of her poor economic and orphan social status.

Dhanalakshmi had been rescued from the quarry where she had been working as a child labour. The Police, revenue department officials along with the SACEWD Trust staff had initiated the rescue. The girl had been given food, shelter, clothes and psycho social counselling for her depression. SACEWD Trust had put her in the bridge course and had her admitted in the regular school.

Dhanalakshmi is now free from slavery. She has completely recouped and has attained self esteem and self confidence. Her health condition also improved. She is now going to school and studying in the IX standard in government school Mullangurichi, Pudukkottai district. She is physically and mentally normal.
