Success Story

Maniben lives in village Oad of Ahmedabad Maniben lives in village Oad of Ahmedabad. She is 65years, lost her husband 4 yrs ago, has a son, but is compelled to work in farm and live alone. She had loose painful teeth and poor vision which deprived her of chewing. Often she gets fainting attacks, has shortness of breath, palpitation etc. As a result hardly gets work for 8-10 days a month. Often she remains hungry adding to her weakness. She has no money to go to nearby town to get dental treatment or get eyes tested.

Our team started arranging free medical camp in her village Oad every fortnight. Maniben was brought to Sanjivani Clinic by her neighbor. Our Doctor examined her and found her to suffer from protein caloric malnutrition, marked anemia, hypotension and lower respiratory infection and fever. Immediately team started ORS, to make her comfortable in an hour. She was given 14 days treatment for infection, Iron, Folic Acid and requested her neighbors to feed her Rice, Dal and vegetables for couple of days.

Now Maniben is feeling fine, energetic and she cooks herself, works to earn money, and is happy. Her neighbors have seen the dramatic change in Maniben. And she lives comfortably. She blessed our team for providing new life. Besides Maniben, average inhabitant of a Oad village now remains fit and fresh devoid of preventable illness, School absenteeism, attentiveness, has improved. Ladies are now more energetic after correction of anemia. There are few incidences of senile fractures, stroke and heart diseases. Amount of addiction has decreased.
