Success Story

Sabina Khatoon is a poor woman. Sabina Khatoon is a poor woman. She has four children. Her husband is a daily wage earner. She had no idea about reproductive health and due to regular child births her health deteriorated. This resulted in increased expenses in medicines and doctor’s checkups. Her family economic condition got weakened and children were also neglected.

BALSK visited her house and spoke to her and other family members on the benefits of our reproductive training. She was invited to the 5 days training camp at Herthu village. Sabina Khatoon was provided training as Parivar Kalyan Salahkar (PKS). She was trained on the key aspects of RH/FP and counseling skills. The duration of training was 30 hours spread over 5 days.

The training has improved knowledge of Sabina Khatoon to such an extent that she and her husband suspended their 14 year old daughter’s marriage. The larger impact was that the economic condition of her family improved and the whole family is living a happy and motivated life.
