Success Story

We wish to provide a wholesome meal during lunch time to all our special children.

We wish to provide a wholesome meal during lunch time to all our special children. Apart from ensuring good health and timely meal we can also use this opportunity to train the child to eat independently. Thus we can monitor the progress each child makes in health care. This is an essential part of our Activities of Daily Living training as our special children are neither capable of eating on their own nor do they like to eat food. It is only through vigorous and daily training that these children can be made to accept food for their very existence.

We started training every child in the proper use of his / her fingers in eating food beginning with washing hands and drying them before and after meals, proper posture while sitting and eating, proper way of holding the glass and drinking from it without spilling, etc. One caregiver is assigned to individually train every child in this activity.
Within very few days of starting this program our special children started learning to like the food and also to eat in a proper manner. The parents are relieved the child is willing to eat food thereby ensuring good health as food is the basic need of every human being to survive.
