Prabhat started with whatever materials could be brought together at the two centers from donations and discards of TLM from local schools. Experts and the Prabhat team helped to select and use these through innovation while adding a few purchases from time to time.

Prabhat has built modest/resource/reference collections from within its limited means. Teachers have been encouraged to innovate with whatever is available. Most of Prabhat children come from deprived families and to be in an environment of books, play materials, colourful posters and other visual aids is in itself the new and joyful experience. Even without many materials specific to special education.

Prabhat classes are full of activity. Every item available is fully utilized as a teaching/learning resource. Prabhat educators are always encouraged to draw on the local environment and to innovate with whatever is available around them, adapting these to special education needs.
