Pratima, a destitute beggar girl aged 13, used to beg in front of the Bodhgaya temple. She was depressed and had behavioral problems. She used to abuse and had problem in her teeth. We had her checked by a psychiatrist to overcome the mental trauma she faced during her early life. Initially mothers hesitated to keep Pratima as she could not control her bowel movements. She was not able to do her daily work. But we did not lose hope and kept talking and guiding her. The mothers assisted her to take bath and wash clothes. Later on the she started assisting in her day to day work

Pratima has changed alot and we took her to the school (where other inmates go) for admission so that she could feel like rest of the children. Pratima was very happy to go to the school for the admission test. She has been admitted in School. Still a lot of care is to be taken of Pratima.
