Success Story

Sankari belongs to a family who are all HIV positive Shankari is an HIV infected child in sixth grade. Her father, HIV positive, was an agricultural coolie. He passed away. His wife is HIV positive- and is working as a coolie. Sankari being the youngest of three children. Sankaris brothers are HIV negative.

The income generation scheme promoted by RWO helped Sankari along with 49 other children to go to school. The mothers started earning and they utilized that money for their children’s education. RWO also provide school uniforms and notebooks to those affected children with limited local contributions.

Shankari and the other children are now continuing their school education with our support.This programme attracted many of the beneficiaries by way of creating awareness among them and giving them an opportunity to come out of their miseries.
