Five year old Kamineni Sri Lakshmi is residing in the Edlapadu village of Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh. Five year old Kamineni Sri Lakshmi is residing in the Edlapadu village of Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh. She had one elder sister. Her father Kondaiah is Agricultural labourer while her mother Kumari is daily labourer. Since their income is insufficient for their daily needs, her parents are unable to send their childre to school. That s why Sri Lakshmi is not going to school. Her sister is also going with her mother as daily labourer.

When one of ASSIST volunteer met with the parents of Sri Lakshmi and was told them to send their dauthter to school instead of sitting ideally at home. When they were told that, they were not in a position to send their daughter to school due to their poor financial conditions. Then ASSIST volunteer convinienced to Sri Lakshmi s parents are willing to send Sri Lakshmi to the school and got admission in 1st class..

Since Sri Lakshmi has very much interest in studies, she felt very happy while going to school. She is goint regularly to school. She is studying well.
