Success Story

Sagundala is a 30 year old widow. Sagundala is a 30 year old widow. She works in artificial gem polishing were she get meager income. Her meager income is not sufficient to nurture and save her child and run her family. She is homeless and sees darkness in her future.

VDC promoted SHG in the village met her and discussed an alternate livelihood. We supported Sagundala in purchasing 3 goats to support her family. She expected to be able to earn enough income through goat rearing.

From the 8th month onwards she is able to sell one goat for around Rs. 2000. Now the goats are multiplying and she has a good asset. She is much better off now and is able to manage her family expenses, especially better growth and care of her child.
