Success Story

Anjali, age 9, is an orphan living in an urban slum Nagla Mahadev of Agra District. Anjali, age 9, is an orphan living in an urban slum Nagla Mahadev of Agra District. She lost her parents when she was just 6 years old. She is living with her uncle. She did all household chores from morning to night. Her Aunt did not send her to school because she was conservative and reluctant towards educating Anjali. Her childhood was passing through the worst conditions without any ray of hope for a beautiful life.

Indian Dreams Foundation went into her slum. Our volunteers met and spoke with her uncle and aunt about the importance of education for Anjali and even for every child. We motivated them towards studies for Anjali and insisted them to send her to school. We also introduced them to Children Rights.

Anjali goes to the government school adopted by Indian Dreams Foundation. Anjali is one of the active and regular students. She is in grade 4. She learns Hindi, English, Maths, General knowledge, good habits, Art & Craft activities, dancing, singing, sports, etc. Anjali wants to become a teacher and teach kids like her.
