Success Story

Amirthavalli and Palchamy are agricultural coolies in Pulikurichi Village. They have two children (Girl - 7 Years, Boy - 5 years). Since agriculture is no more a thriving business, generally agricultural coolies want to shift to construction work or road work and Amirthavalli and Palchamy couples are no exception. They wanted to have a supplementary income to meet the growing requirements of the family. They contacted SEEDS in this regard. SEEDS sponsored an Animal Husbandry Training to Amirthavalli and got her a Cow through bank loan with subsidy.

She is getting an income of Rs. 500/- a day from which she spends of Rs. 200/- for the feed for the cow and the remaining she uses for the family requirement. The family is blessed with abundance and in fact she has found favour with the bank officials by her prompt repayments and bought another animal to improve her business.
