Smt. Krishna Mandal wife of Goutam Mandal faced problem when she gave birth of a girl child in 2006.

Smt. Krishna Mandal wife of Goutam Mandal faced problem when she gave birth of a girl child in 2006. The child and she need nutritional food but her husband had no job as a daily labour. Her family income was just one thousand per month to maintain 4 persons of family, Smt Pravabati Mandal mother of Goutam was a sponsor under Helpage India but her food was also used by of them which forced then to starve.

In 2009-10 Helpage India started one Income Generation Programme with small financial support to the family of the sponsored person. Smt Pravabati Mandal got some money from Bani Mandir and along with Krishna started small a Grocery Shop.
In course of time, the business went well and the condition of her family became better than before. At least starvation is not their earnings are good enough to maintain their family status and daughter of Krishna is now going for preschool education in Bani Mandir Creche.
