Pankaj Kumar is from Baraulli block. Pankaj Kumar is from Baraulli block. He comes from family that lives under BPL monthly income around Rs. 1500. They cannot afford good diet for Pankaj. His father is a daily wage earner and earns only in season.

The children who come for studying are mainly from poor rural under privileged population who do not come with Tiffin. They are under nourished can not sustain hunger for 8 hours. Therefore it is necessary to provide them some mid day meal consisting of milk, seasonal fruit and one snacks such as Dalia, Kheer or Poha. Children like these items & eat with pleasure as they are tasty.

The children who got the mid day meal became motivated to study. Their achievements were high and attendance was regular. They also became healthy as their immune system became strong and they did not fall sick often. They also could withstand the cold weather.
