Success Story

Chand Pasha a native of Karnataka had come to Panjim, Goa Chand Pasha a native of Karnataka had come to Panjim, Goa about 6 years back. He and his family were living in the slums, close to the surburbs of Panjim called Campal. He has two siblings. The alcoholic father would not be concerned about the well being of the family. Chand Pasha would spend his day roaming around the streets of Panjim. He later on started to work in a city bar. He was always a sick child suffering either from malaria or viral fever

Our field workers found him working in a city bar. They followed up his case and located him at the place where he used to live with his family. After gaining confidence with the family we managed to persuade Chand Pasha to live his so called career and join school. The parents were reluctant but later on realized the benefits of educating their son.

At present Chand Pasha is doing well in his studies and is attending a government Primary medium school in the city. He is also doing well in his health because of the nutritious food provided at the shelter. He is also improved in his behaviour and taking his studies very seriously.
