Success Story

Veena, a young pretty girl from an economically and socially challenged community. Veena, a young pretty girl from an economically and socially challenged community aged 15 years came to Vathsalya in the month of july 2009 with 27 weeks pregnancy. She had Eclampsia with a history of convulsions.

She was immediately admitted to the CSI hospital, Col. Hill Road Bangalore, with the above health problems. On the advise of the doctors, labour induced with cerviprime and augmented with Oxytocin and delivered by PTVD with RMLE. A female baby was born on 20.7.2009 with birth weight of 1.2 kgs.

After delivery she was in hospital for few days and she was free from her convulsions and other health problems. The baby being underweight is still in the hospital being monitored by the hospital staff. Veena is gone back to be with her family.
