Success Story

All the 15 workers in Atma Nirbhar - Ek Challenge are disabled persons. All the 15 workers in Atma Nirbhar - Ek Challenge are disabled persons. They package tea and spices to earn a living in this non profit organisation. Most of the disabled workers come from very weak economic background. Many of them used to come work in the mornings with a half empty stomach.

May be since we see so many people in India working on half empty stomachs that we never noticed this in our own workers. Then an elderly lady from Scotsland volunteered with us for a short while. She suggested that we provide them with a wholesome vegetarian lunch so that they have at least one square meal a day. We have continued this practice for the last 12 years now.

Absenteeism reduced, overall health improved and generally the workers seemed happier. Surprisingly, the small skirmishes among the workers have also reduced --- proving that a full stomach keeps everyone happy.
