Success Story

Government schools especially the primary and middle schools are running without basic infrastructure Government schools are running without basic infrastructure like electricity, fans, tables and chairs and other necessary educational supplies. In Thazhuthalikuppam, a Tsunami affected village in Cheyyur Taluk of Kancheepuram District the school was badly damaged and even without minimum infrastructure

We repaired the school building and provided electrical fitting like fans, tube lights, audio systems and furniture like table chairs, black board, benches etc. We also provided salary for additional school teachers (for two years)

The school enrollment has increased and the education standard raised as in private schools. There was no dropout among the children in the age group of 6-14. The school performance was appreciated by the Deputy Education Officer, Madurantakam, Kancheepuram District
