Success Story

We met Moses during a survey for disabled persons and saw his eagerness to learn Moses is a 95 % mentally disabled child with a history of epilepsy. His mother is a housewife while father is a helper without regular income. They love him and would like him to attend our rehabilitation centre where he can receive therapy for his improvement, but they were unable to pay for his transport. For this reason Moses was kept at home without any chance for developmental improvement.

We met Moses during a survey for disabled persons and saw his eagerness to learn. He could neither speak nor walk. We felt his condition could improve with proper therapy. We encouraged his mother to accompany him to our Centre and arranged to pick them up in our van every day. He was put on an IEP and regular physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy was given.

Moses has made significant improvement in the last six months. He is able to balance himself and take a few steps without support. Due to various therapies he receives on a daily basis his physical and mental conditions have improved. He has benefited from the self help skills he is being taught here. Now, his father is able to concentrate on his work while his mother trains with him in the Centre. Moses and his parents are happy to continue their association with Balajothi.
