All Mumbai positions are preferably full time and based out of our office at Khetwadi. We expect people in senior positions like division heads and the CTO to work 55-60 hours a week. However, we are very open to exceptionally talented second career women who can work hard but need flexibility of timings and work-from-home options. Positions in other cities are field based.

Senior Technologist:

This would be a young, technologically brilliant person who is totally on top of the latest web and database technologies and believes that the Internet can change society in many more ways than we have seen so far.

The Senior Technologost, will design and implement our next generation website including an easy-to-use yet reliable website interface, driven by a powerful transaction engine and content mgt system and strong backoffice processing capabilities.

This is an excellent opportunity to use the latest web 2.0 tools and technologies to create change. The candidate will have the space and freedom to create several new online applications for use by NGOs and the giving public across India. The technology division can be eventually spun off into a separate IT for NGOs company.

The right candidate would be an ace techie conversant with Java and open source internet technologies like Drupal, Joomla, Ruby on rails, etc. An aptitude to "search the net" for plug and play tools and finding "appropriate tech solutions" to "fix problems" is essential. The candidate would be between 18-30 years of age (definitely under 35), and would have already built at least a few websites.

This is a critical position for us. Pay will be reasonable and can carry attractive performance linked incentives.

Mini CEOs:

Young, exceedingly brilliant candidates (top 1% in class throughout your career), who are keen to lead a division or project entirely on their own for 2 years or more. As heads of a division, candidates will get a chance to create and execute a tight business plan, hire and manage a small team. Candidates could run existing divisions or in some cases, set up new ones. These positions offer phenomenal opportunity to learn and grow while contributing to a cause. Division heads will get access to some of the brightest minds in India as mentors.

On the flip side, performance expectations are high, and candidates will be expected to ‘show results’ soon. We work to stiff targets bordering on the unreasonable and there is no room for the light hearted in these roles. Pay will be decent but won't match corporate salaries. A very aggressive performance linked incentive is possible.

This is a “no-frills” job, and the work is the perk :) A spirit of service, wanting to ‘give back’ and make a difference are essential if you want to last in this for even a year.

Likely candidates will be those for whom top investment banking, consulting or marketing jobs are available but not exciting enough. They will typically be between 22-30 years old (definitely not above 35), with 1-10 years’ work experience. They would typically have a degree from one of the best institutions and would generally be seen as exceptional performers in academics, extra curricular activities and at work.

Head – Projects:  


The projects team works with NGOs to design programmes which meet the specifications of the donors such as Corporates, high net worth individuals, NRIs, etc who want to support causes they believe in.

The Head of Projects will be responsible for promoting Different products of projects' division to the HR/CSR Heads of large corporations and to HNIs. The incumbent will also ideate and implement ways of reaching out to high value donors along with organising selling events to showcase products of projects' division.

Ideally the candidate should be an MBA with 6- 8 years work experience in business development /marketing /sales. Excellent communication skills and knowledge of computers is required. Creativity and an ability to think out of the box would be needed to make a success of this position. The job may involve extensive travel within Mumbai. Regional Manager Sales – Bangalore: 

The Regional Manager Sales will be responsible for selling our Payroll Giving Programme to organisations through pitches to CEO’s and HR Heads. The Manager will also head a sales team and will be expected to meet aggressive targets. The incumbent will be involved in the launch and entire run through of the pay roll giving programme in corporate organisations. An Ideal person for the position will have at least 4 years of exposure to corporate sales and prior experience in leading a sales team. An MBA with excellent net working skills will be a good fit. Software Engineer

  • Excellent communication skills in English - both oral and written
  • Basic Excel and Powerpoint skills
  • Good analytical capabilities and an ability to grasp things fast
  • Willingness to learn on the job without high degree of hand-holding
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript
Your role will be to :
              - Develop core technology solutions using Java and other open source technologies
              - Maintenance and enhancements of various technology solutions
              - Supporting users with issues related to various functionalities

 You will also be expected to:

              - Understand the business requirements closely as he will be closely interacting 
                with heads of various business units
              - To take initiatives in developing innovative solutions to customer issues

Projects Executive:

The Projects eam works with the NGOs to design programmes which meet the specifications of the donors such as Corporates, high net worth individuals, NRIs, etc who want to support causes they believe in.

The Projects Executive will support the Head of Projects in identifying projects for HNI donors and will be responsible for implementation of the project. Ideal candidate will be an MBA/ BE with at least 2 years of experience.  In Depth knowledge of the Social Sector is desirable and excellent communication skills and knowledge of computers is a must. Creativity and an ability to think out of the box would be needed to make a success of this position. The job may involve extensive travel within Mumbai. Sales Executives – Payroll Giving Sales (Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi):

You will reach out to employees in some of India's biggest and best corporates in comfortable workplaces. Instead of making well-to-do people buy more clothes and perfumes or take yet another credit card they do not need or coaxing busy doctors to prescribe expensive drugs, you will use your sales skills to give them compelling reasons to contribute small amounts and use their power to make a big difference to the lives of the less fortunate.

Candidates must have at least 2 years’ retail sales experience. Those who don't have direct sales experience but are willing to explore a career in frontline sales may also apply. Please send your resume to

MySQL DBA:

Looking for a MySQL DBA with at least 2 – 4 years of industry experience with the following skills:
•    Proficient in MySQL DBA version 5.1+ with 2 - 4+ years of hands on experience.
•    UNIX shell scripting,
•    Debugging high performance, high availability databases
•    Backups / Restores.
•    Exposure to different kind of Engines (MYISAM / INnodb)
•    MySQL High Availability via Replication
•    Performance Tuning / Query Tuning / Capacity planning
•    Installation/Upgrades
•    Reviewing and applying database schema changes
•    Experience in managing MS-SQL & MySQL database based applications.
•    Data modeling, query design and optimization, stored proceduresEducation background
     B.E./B.Tech./MCA or equivalent
•    Minimum 2-4 years of hands on industry experience
•    Ability to understand large data models.
•    Work closely with development teams and be responsible for physical database design  
     and implementation performance tuning
•    Knowledge for MySQL Replication & SQL Cluster terminology
•    Hand-on-Experience of Database Troubleshooting pertaining to performance etc.
•    Knowledge of some SQL Performance & Diagnosis Advisory Too

HR Executive: 


Looking for a HR graduate wil at east 2 – 4 years of experience. The candidate must have prior experience in recruitment as the candidate will send a large chunk of his/her time in recruitment. Exposure to Generalist HR activities like training and performance management will be a plus. Good Communication skills, ability to network and multitask will be key differentiators.
